What Happened?

India reached the final in breathtaking fashion by crushing Sri Lanka by 124 runs in their semifinal match. Wicketkeeper-batsman Ishan Kishan played a starring role, scoring a rapid 80 runs to propel India to a massive total. In response, Jasprit Bumrah delivered a lethal opening spell with the ball, backed up by a ruthless performance from the spin attack. Sri Lanka had no answers to the bowling onslaught and were bundled out for a paltry 45 runs, underlining India's status as defending champions.

Pakistan, on the other hand, secured their place in the summit clash with a smooth and composed six-wicket victory over Bangladesh. Captain Sahibzada Farhan led his team well as Pakistan controlled the match from start to finish. Their bowling attack, spearheaded by disciplined spells from Abbas Afridi and Sufiyan Muqeem, kept Bangladesh in check throughout the innings. Pakistan easily chased down the target to ensure an all-Asian heavyweight clash for the ultimate prize.

Now, the final presents a classic battle between India's explosive batting order and Pakistan's skilled bowling unit. India's batting lineup features destructive players like Abhishek Sharma, Ishan Kishan, young prodigy Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, and Sanju Samson. On the flip side, Pakistan will rely on early breakthroughs during the powerplay to break India's dangerous momentum. The high-pressure environment will test both teams to their absolute limits as they fight for gold.
