In a major breakthrough, the Mumbai Police Crime Branch has seized two firearms along with ten live cartridges from Surat in Gujarat in connection with the recent attack on Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff. The recovery was made during an ongoing investigation into the shooting incident that occurred near Pushpa Park in Mumbai's Juhu area last Sunday. According to official statements, these weapons were allegedly used by attackers who fired several rounds at the actor's luxury car before escaping. The police have already arrested multiple individuals across different states and are uncovering a wider criminal conspiracy involving organized gang networks.

What Happened?

The violent incident took place when attackers fired approximately seven rounds at a BMW vehicle carrying popular actor Tiger Shroff near Pushpa Park in Juhu. Five of the bullets struck the vehicle, resulting in injuries to the actor's driver and a bystander standing nearby, while two bullets missed the target. Following the shooting, the attackers quickly fled the scene on a motorcycle, which was later discovered and seized near the Andheri railway station by investigating officers. The three primary suspects were subsequently tracked down and arrested at the Kota railway station in Rajasthan through a coordinated police operation.

Further investigation revealed that the attackers had carried out a meticulous surveillance operation before executing the plan. The suspects allegedly conducted a detailed recce, carefully tracking Tiger Shroff's daily movements, weekly routines, and personal travel schedules to time their strike effectively. Their escape strategy was also carefully planned in advance, utilizing a pre-designed route along SV Road passing through Vile Parle and Andheri to evade local authorities immediately after the incident occurred.

The arrested suspects include a 17-year-old minor, along with 22-year-old Hrithik Kumar, also known as Roshan, hailing from Bihar's Begusarai district, and 18-year-old Rehan from Sonipat in Haryana. In addition to these three main shooters, law enforcement agencies have apprehended several other accomplices from Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Haryana. The investigation has now turned its attention toward gangster Anil Pandit, an alleged associate of the notorious Lawrence Bishnoi gang, who previously claimed responsibility for the attack on October 18. The Mumbai Police have named Anil Pandit as a wanted accused in the registered criminal case under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and Arms Act.

When attacks occur in broad daylight in busy metropolitan neighborhoods like Juhu, it raises serious security questions for regular citizens and public figures alike. The rapid response of law enforcement and multi-state coordination demonstrates the critical need for tight security measures and proactive intelligence gathering to prevent violent crimes in urban areas.

Furthermore, the involvement of young individuals and organized gang figures underscores the urgent need to dismantle criminal networks recruiting youth for dangerous activities.
